Jordan Nwora: Makes jump to Turkey

    5m ago

Nwora signed a one-year contract with Turkish club Anadolu Efes on Monday.

The contract includes an option for the 2025-26 season, so Nwora could pursue a return to the NBA -- or elect to stick around with Anadolu Efes -- following the upcoming campaign. Nwora will head overseas for the first time in his career after he spent four seasons in the NBA upon entering the league as a second-round pick of the Bucks in 2020. He split the 2023-24 season between the Pacers and Raptors, appearing in 52 games (one start) while averaging 7.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.8 three-pointers in 13.7 minutes per contest.

  • Vasilije Micic CHA PG

Micic accumulated 15 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 22 minutes in Serbia's 96-85 win over South Sudan in the Paris Olympics on Saturday.

Micic was the clear No. 3 option behind Nikola Jokic and Bogdan Bogdanovic in Serbia's victory. The 30-year-old averaged 13.0 points, 5.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds across 21.7 minutes in three group-phase contests. Micic's ability to move the rock and spread the floor will be crucial for Serbia as they enter the Olympic quarterfinals.

Hawks' Bogdan Bogdanovic: Game-high 30 points in Olympic win

    2d ago

Bogdanovic tallied 30 points (10-14 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight assists, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals across 32 minutes in Serbia's 96-85 win over South Sudan in the Paris Olympics on Saturday.

Bogdanovic was lethal from beyond the arc, and he has served as an extremely productive second option behind Nikola Jokic. The 31-year-old did it all in the win while leading the team with a game high in points and a team high in assists. South Sudan was able to keep the game competitive up until the middle of the fourth quarter, but Bogdanovic's offensive barrage while Jokic was on the bench helped Serbia pull away. In three group-phase appearances, the sharpshooter averaged 19.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists across 28.0 minutes per game. The veteran will be crucial for Serbia in the Olympic quarterfinals, and his ability to get a bucket while Jokic is not on the floor could be game-altering.

Jokic produced a near double-double with 14 points and eight boards by the end of the first half alone. The three-time NBA MVP continued to dominate the entire contest with no one for South Sudan being able to stop him in the paint, and he was able to get to the charity stripe at will. The 29-year-old averaged 18.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 2.0 steals across 27.0 minutes in three group-phase matches.

Alvarado ended with 18 points (7-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three assists, one rebound and one steal across 22 minutes in Puerto Rico's 104-83 loss to Team USA in the Paris Olympics on Saturday.

Puerto Rico's Olympics campaign has officially ended with an 0-3 record in Group C. The 26-year-old scored a team-high 18 points in the loss, and he served as the squad's top option throughout the group stage.
